Thermoforming is a manufacturing process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product. The sheet or film is heated in an oven to a high-enough temperature that permits it to be stretched into or onto a mold and cooled to a finished shape.

Tamarack Products offers Thermoforming of Clamshells, Blisters, and Trays & Lids that can be manufactured to your custom specifications. Made from rigid, clear PVC, Clamshells are typically hinged and then folded to secure your product, after loading with "Buttons" or "Snaps" that fit together and lock. Most clamshells have a hang hole, but they can also be made to stand up on a counter or table display. Blisters are clear, rigid cavity or pocket thermoformed to a custom shape. This usually has a printed cardboard backer that is glued to the flange of the blister after loading the contents.
